British Customs: When did you start riding?

Lauren Lilly: When I got a drivers license

BC: What was your first bike?

LL: 1985 Yamaha 400

BC: What is your background/interest in motorcycle customization? Family hobby, selftaught, trained pro, etc?

LL: I grew up in an area where I drive cars at a very young ago (yes illegally haha), tractors, dirt bikes, ATVs, and other random go carts. Motorcycle culture was always a part of family and I always enjoyed the the wind in my face. Seemed to be one of the only way to turn off my brain even at an early age.

BC: What is your inspiration when wrenching on or designing your bike?

LL: Combo of look and function. I’m a big fan of minimalism and clean lines in general. I’ve been riding for a very long time so I love having a passenger, packing a bunch of gear, and heading out to camp! So my BC seat & sissy is SO great for that. So much space without the dorky look of saddle bags.

BC: What are some things outside of motorcycling inspire you?

LL: Allthings visual. I design products, marketing campaigns, and adventure based visual content for a living so for me if it looks good it feels good.

BC: What are your goals in the coming year?

LL: Travel as much as possible.
